Most pressure washing companies start with a trailer, a pressure washer, and a Facebook page.
Kleen-N-Brite started with a calling.

How It Began

Derrick Slodysko started Kleen-N-Brite in 2018 as a part-time venture while working a full-time job with good benefits and poor pay. He had been searching for something — a way to bridge a financial gap, a way to build something of his own — and found himself watching YouTube videos about exterior cleaning late at night.

One video led to a phone call. One phone call led to a five-and-a-half-hour drive to Maryland in the middle of the night to spend a day on a truck with a stranger willing to show him the work before he spent a dime on equipment. Twelve hours later, Derrick drove home. He was hooked.

He bought his equipment. He started the business. And for the first two years, he kept his day job because he did not fully believe yet in what the Lord was building through him.

The Moment Everything Changed

Going into year three, Derrick took a step of faith that changed everything. He wrapped his truck.

For a man who describes himself as quiet and private, putting his name and brand on a vehicle and driving it through the community was not a small thing. It felt like putting a bullseye on himself. He did it anyway.

Business exploded. He grossed more that year working part-time than he had ever made at any full-time job in his life. The Lord had been preparing something. The truck wrap was just the moment it became visible.

That year made it clear. This was not a side business. This was the path.

The Parking Lot

Derrick had planned to leave his job in the spring of 2022 and go full-time. He had it all mapped out. The timing made sense. The slow winter season would be behind him. The logic was sound.

In September of 2021, as he walked across a parking lot to work, he heard a voice say two words.

It’s Time.

He looked around. Nobody else had heard it. He knew immediately what it meant and where it came from. He went home that night and told his wife that he believed the Lord wanted him to leave his job. Not in the spring. Now.

She did not fully understand. He did not fully understand. But he trusted. Two and a half weeks later, Derrick Slodysko walked away from his job with no guaranteed income, a slow season ahead of him, and nothing but faith that the Lord who had told him to go would also provide.

The Year That Humbled Him

The first full year of running Kleen-N-Brite did not look the way Derrick expected.

He had come off a record part-time year. He had stepped out in faith. He expected the Lord to honor that faith with abundance. Instead, he finished his first full-time year having made less than he had the previous year working part-time.

He questioned himself. He questioned the decision. But he never questioned the Lord.

He knew what was happening. Every business that survives long enough faces the year that tests whether its conviction is real. For Kleen-N-Brite, that year came early. Derrick came through it without losing faith in what he had been called to do or the standard he had been called to do it to.

That season of humility is part of why the business is what it is today. It stripped away any illusion that success would come easily or that the work was about him.

Why He Does It

Derrick does not do this work for the money. He is clear about that.

He does it because he believes that every property he is hired to clean is an assignment. That is when a homeowner calls Kleen-N-Brite and gives permission to be on their property, something more than a cleaning service has been arranged. He shows up for every job believing that the care and integrity he brings to the work matter more than anything any customer can see.

The Lord sees every job. That is the audience Derrick works for.

That is why a mobile home is held to the same standard as a three-million-dollar mansion. That is why the final walk-through happens on every single job. That is why over 250 homeowners across five counties have left a perfect five-star review without a single exception.

The work reflects the conviction. The reviews confirm it.

What Kleen-N-Brite Stands For

Honesty before
the job starts.

If a stain will not come out, we say so before we take your money. If a surface has problems that go beyond cleaning, we tell you upfront. You will never be surprised by what you get from us.

Every property is
treated like our own.

We move furniture if needed. We protect plants. We flag the loose siding, the missing caulk line, and the shingle that needs attention. Not because we were hired to inspect your home, but because we think you should know.

The same standard
regardless of the job.

Small job or large job. New customer or returning customer. The standard does not change based on the job’s value.

Faith
over fear.

Derrick built this business by trusting God over logic more than once. That same trust shapes how Kleen-N-Brite operates — with integrity, with generosity, and with the conviction that doing the right thing is always worth it, regardless of the
short-term cost.

A Word From Derrick

The tagline for Kleen-N-Brite — “Where Dirty Meets Clean” — was not something Derrick came up with in a marketing meeting. He believes the Holy Spirit gave it to him. Simple. Direct. True.

It describes what happens on every job. But it also describes something bigger. The before-and-after that this work represents in his own life. The dirt of a difficult season, meeting the clean of a calling that turned out to be real.

He is grateful for every customer who has trusted Kleen-N-Brite with their home. Every one of them is part of the story the Lord is writing through this business.
